Visiting Artist Jobs Teach Your Craft to Teens
Passionate About Your Trade?
The Visiting Artists Program intends to diversify our programming, bring more artistic role models into our orbit, and show teens how many paths of adulthood are open to them. We hope these working artists reveal to our campers how many creative, supportive communities they can find worldwide.
As part of this program, accomplished artists who are respected in their trades spend several days at OTC instructing, inspiring, and infusing our campers with new perspectives from a professional’s point of view. Our Visiting Artists have included comedians, lighting designers, textile designers, chefs, musicians, choreographers, and costume designers, to name a few.
Odyssey Teen Camp's mission is to provide a safe and welcoming space where teenagers are accepted, embraced, and celebrated for being exactly who they are. OTC is a non-profit residential summer camp that endeavors to provide LGBTQ teens and their allies with profound self-love, a deep sense of community, and the knowledge that a bright future is possible.
OTC is about helping teens build confidence and self-love through community building and collaborative projects. We look for artists interested in fostering self-expression, connection, and community building.
Provided by OTC:
- One paid position $1000/week stipend
- Lodging in one of our yurt tents + 3 meals per day in our dining hall
- Free time spent on our 400 acres in the Berkshire Mountains and our beautiful waterfront
- An amazing opportunity for connection and exchange between the resident artist and campers
We are accepting summer 2026 applications for visiting artists.
Schedule of a Visiting Artist:
Visiting Artists will teach three to four activity periods per day (see our schedule here). The rest of the day may be spent preparing for classing, collaborating on projects with other staff members, or participating in other camp activities! During your free time, you might enjoy our lake (swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking), hiking trails, or explore around The Berkshires.
